Fairfield Theatre Co. will host a performance by Pure Prairie League, the classic rock band whose hits include "Amie," at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at StageOne, 70 Sanford St. Doors open 7 p.m.

The band, very successful in the 1970s and early 1980s, released 10 albums and came out with several radio hits with several different configurations of the group, according to a news release from the company. The group, having reformed for several festival shows after disbanding in 1988, is now comprised of steel guitar player John David Call, front man and bass player Mike Reilly, drummer Rick Schell and guitarist Donnie Lee Clark.

The band plans on playing songs from its earlier albums of the early 1970s such as "Angel No. 9" and "Restless Woman," in addition to more current songs, for the StageOne show, the release states.
