Fabrics and Fabrications and Southport Congregational Church will hold their 10th annual quilt exhibit Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3, at the church, 524 Pequot Ave., Southport.

The exhibit will feature workshops, lectures, and demonstrations in keeping with its theme of "Reuse, Recyle, Rejoice." Workshops, led by Jill Walker and Edie Faile of Fairfield, will include crafts made from recycled found objects.

On Friday, Cecily Zerega, the exhibit's co-founder, will talk about quilt patterns during the Civil War.

Olivia Munroe, owner of the Striped Umbrella, will present a workshop Saturday for children featuring figures made from found objects.

Other events will include demonstrations on old-fashioned foundation piecing and modern paper piecing, frame quilting and carving minute objects from pencil lead.

Crafts will include fabric garlands, embellished patches, objects from recycled fabrics, belts from men's ties, embellished picture frames and fabric postcards.
