It was a "reel," old-fashioned fun night at the drive-in.

Under a picture-perfect evening sky Saturday, Trinity Episcopal Church hosted its second annual Drive-In Movie Night where attendees not only found "Nemo" -- the namesake of the featured film, "Finding Nemo" -- but appetizing off-screen offerings that ranged from brownies and dipping sauces to popcorn and ice cream.

Set up in the church's parking lot on the corner of Pequot Avenue and Center Street near the heart of Southport, the event featured two large movie screens on which the animated classic was projected, while vendors around the perimeter offered treats.

The program was planned simply as a night for community fun, according to Chris Rieck, the event chairman, although a portion of funds was dedicated to a mission project in South America.
