Fairfield's Registrars of Voters Office will hold special hours so residents can register and vote for the legislative primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The office at old Town Hall, 611 Old Post Road, will be open from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, to accept voter registration applications and to restore people who have been removed from the voter rolls.

Registration will also take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the registrars' office.

New and party change applications will be accepted in person from 8:30 a.m. until noon Monday, Aug. 13. Applications received after that time will not be eligible to vote in the primary.

The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Mail-in applications must be postmarked by Thursday, Aug. 9, to be accepted for the primary.

Call the office at 203-256-3115 for information.
