Report: Woman sitting in middle of street

Ann MacKenzie, 21, of Alden Street, was issued a misdemeanor summons for breach of peace early Friday morning after police received a report about someone sitting in the middle of street.

MacKenzie had entered a Pratt Street back yard around 1:20 a.m. and refused to leave when asked by the homeowner, according to the report. She then sat in the middle of the street, police said.

She swore at the officer dispatched to the scene, and told him that she was sitting in the road because she was tired, police said.

MacKenzie had scrapes and bruises that she could not explain, according to the report said, and also told police she was looking for a lost earring.

After being issued the summons, she was was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport.
