A Bridgeport man was charged with sixth-degree larceny after failing to pay his $45.60 cab fare Sunday night.
Ovidio Mendoza Robles, 35, of Charles Street, had called Metro Taxi to take him to the Bear and Grill, 2000 Black Rock Turnpike, to pick up his paycheck. According to the report, Robles walked in the restaurant's front door, but after getting his check, walked out the back door.
He was later located by police at his Charles Street address, where he was charged. He was released on a promise to appear Dec. 18 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
