FAIRFIELD — A 46-year-old restaurateur was charged Sunday with sending harassing text messages to his ex-fiancee, a local resident.
Michael Young, 46, of Barnswallow Road, Trumbull, a partner in Bodega Taco Bar and Valencia Luncheria in Norwalk, was charged with second-degree harassment and violation of a protective order.
According to the report, the woman came to police headquarters to report that Young had been sending her text messages, and it also appeared he had been in her home without permission, based on some of the content of the messages.
Officers asked Norwalk police to check for at Valencia Luncheria, but he was not there. They then contacted Trumbull police, who located Young at his home and held him for Fairfield police.
Young allegedly told police he had sent messages to “bait” her and make her think he had been inside the home.
Bond was set at $5.000 and Young was scheduled to appear the next day at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
