The owner of Midas Touch Jewelers, 1547 Post Road, reported the theft of a $25,000 engagement ring from a display case this week.

A $7,000 pair of earrings, last seen last July, was also reported missing to police this week.

The ring was last seen about two weeks ago, according to the report, and could not be found when a store employee wanted to show it to a customer. Other rings had apparently been moved around in the case to make it more difficult to detect the ring was missing.
