Rita Pioli Durando, 93, of Fairfield, wife of the late Mario L. Durando, died Feb. 22 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Rosina and Pietro Pioli. She was a resident of Astoria, N.Y., for most of her life prior to moving to Fairfield.

Survivors include two daughters, Marie Durando of Nanuet, N.Y., and Louise Noll and her husband Robert of Fairfield; two granddaughters, Maria Noll Lavin and her husband Jamie of Astoria, N.Y., and Lisa Noll Hardy and her husband Robert of Monroe; two great-grandchildren, Riley Lavin and Will Hardy; a sister, Ursula Callahan of Rye Brook, N.Y., and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, John and George Pioli, and her sisters, Louise Yarcel, Enis Pioli and Adele Spagnoli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, N.Y. Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road.
