Chalykoff will work with faculty to develop an MBA program in Luxembourg, extend the university's global reach and help the college develop new graduate and research strategies, according to a news release.
He comes from Boston University, where, since 1999, he was an associate dean, was responsible for the School of Management's office of admissions and career center and oversaw the International Management Program.
He was also chairman of the Globalization Task Force, managed a $210,000 IBM grant to bring online courses to its sales force and led a task force to revamp the MBA curriculum. He was also a faculty director of IBM Executive programs.
Prior to Boston University, he was dean of the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick from 1992 to 1999.
Chalykoff, a native of Wawa, Ontario, holds a doctorate in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Boston College.
