Sacred Heart to hold holiday events

Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Ave., will hold a series of holiday events in early December.

Events to be held at the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts include:

"A Christmas Choral Extravaganza," 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1

"Student Chamber Series," 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2

"An Irish Christmas," 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8

Concert Band's "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9

Events to be performed in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit include:

Handel's "Messiah," 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6

"Annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols," 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9

All events will be free and open to the public, except for "A Christmas Choral Extravaganza," $5; Handel's "Messiah," $35; and "An Irish Christmas," $25 for the general public, $20 for senior citizens, faculty and staff and $10 for students.

All tickets may be purchased online or in person through the Edgerton Center box office.
