There was a chill in the air Sunday at Assumption Parish, though it wasn’t certain whether it came from the afternoon’s snow flurries — or the Halloween creatures taking shape there.

The occasion was the annual Scarecrow Festival sponsored by Assumption School.

In addition to the “Build-Your-Own-Scarecrow” attraction, the event featured pumpkin decorating, fall crafts, a moon bounce, pony rides and petting zoo, baked goods and more.

Good times were scared up for all.
