A Grasmere Avenue man faces several drug charges after an lengthy narcotics investigation here and in Bridgeport, police in Fairfield said Thursday.
Gus Verras, 52, was charged with three counts each of sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics and one count of sale of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.
Verras was charged about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday by members of the Statewide Violence Cooperative Crime Control Task Force, made up of officers from the State Police and area police departments.
He was released after posting a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Aug. 6 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
In June, the task force arrested Elizabeth Gonzalez, 37, of Kenwood Avenue, as a co-conspirator in the case.
She was charged June 22 with three counts each of manufacture/sale of narcotics and conspiracy to commit the unauthorized manufacture/sale of narcotics and one count of risk of injury to a minor.
