A Church Hill Road man called police around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday after he saw two people, dressed in black, running from his garage. The call led police to discover that four cars in the neighborhood had been broken into.

Police said when the resident heard the garage door opening, he went to check and saw two people ducking under the door to leave the garage as it rolled down.

He said the garage door opener had been left in an unlocked car parked in the driveway.

Police K-9 Ruger and Officer Kevin Wells tracked the scent of intruders to Casmir Drive, Winwood Street and London Terrace before losing the track at an intersection, where police think the intruders fled in a waiting car.

A $70 Bluetooth earpiece was taken from a car on London Terrace, while $20 in cash was taken from a car on Lockwood Road. Nothing was missing from the other vehicles, although the dome lights were on and glove boxes opened. All the cars were unlocked.
