Students from kindergarten through sixth grade took turns skating for 30-minute periods on the ice, with the intent of finishing as many laps as possible as parents and volunteers cheered from the side, according to a foundation news release.
To date, the school has raised almost $100,000 over the years, the release states.
The foundation's mission is "to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy," according to the release.
Wishes granted by the foundation include trips to Walt Disney World, Hawaii and the Caribbean, bedroom makeovers, shopping sprees and a new puppy.
