A hour of live Irish music will be performed at the Fairfield Public Library on St. Patrick's Day afternoon, Saturday, March 17.

Fairfielders Sally and Damiem Connolly will perform Irish tunes from 3 to 4 p.m. in the new book area of the main library, 1080 Old Post Road. The performance is free and open to the public.

Sally will play flute, and Damian will play fiddle, accordion and guitar, the library said. Damien

Damien Connolly hails from County Clare, Ireland, the library said, and has performed at Carnegie Hall, New York University and Boston College. Sally grew up in Easton in a home steeped in folk music, the library said.
