FAIRFIELD — Two incidents of stolen bikes led two parents to the UHaul building on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport Monday, where they were able to recover their children’s bicycles.

A Churchill Road resident called police around 7 p.m., to report that she found her son’s bike, which had been taken from their yard earlier, leaning up against the UHaul building, along with several other bikes. She said she had noticed several boys in her yard, but thought they were there to play with her son.

However, she later discovered her son’s bike was missing and drove down Fairfield Avenue in an attempt to locate it. While she was there, a Shoreham Village Drive man drove up to recover two bikes that had allegedly been stolen from his yard.
