A 17-year-old Bridgeport youth was arrested at the town's Alternative High School on Biro Street Tuesday after the dean allegedly found him in possession of four bags of marijuana.

Police said the dean smelled an odor of burnt marijuana on the student's clothes on Monday, and on Tuesday a concerned citizen reported to him that they saw what appeared to be a drug transaction outside the school. The student was identified after a review of surveillance video and charged with possession with intent to sell and possession of marijuana. When he was confronted by the dean, the student allegedly took four bags of marijuana from his pants pocket.

He was released to his mother and is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Oct. 16.
