Six students from the town's three middle schools were recently named scholar-leaders by the Connecticut Association of Schools.

The pupils, among 280 middle-school students named across the state, include Alexandra Lisi-Lengel and Henry Johnson, both of Fairfield Woods; Theodora Hurley and Alec Williams from Tomlinson; and Julia Pangallo and Ethan Lester, both of Roger Ludlowe.

Every year since 1985, the association has named a girl and a boy from each middle school in the state who have distinguished themselves in scholarship and leadership in school and community, according to the association's website.
