The summer may be winding down, but that doesn't mean the fun is over yet, as the Recreation Department's summer concert series at the Sherman Green gazebo continues.

Concerts are held Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, plus one on a Friday. All are free to the public.

On Wednesday, Frank Porto takes the stage, while Thursday's concert is the Fairfield Counts Orchestra, sponsored by Jewish Senior Services. Sunday's performance is by Keltic Kick, and is sponsored by the Fairfield Firefighters Union. All three concerts will start at 7 p.m.

Beginning Aug. 13 with the Bob Button Band, the Sherman Green concerts will start at 6:30 p.m. The rest of the August schedule is as follows:

Aug. 14, October Fest, sponsored by the Firehouse Deli

Aug. 15, Atwood Express Oldies Band

Aug. 20, The Baron's, sponsored by Harry's Wine & Liquor

Aug. 21, Yesteryear, sponsored by DAV Post 19, VFW 9427 and American Legion Post 74

Aug. 24, An Eagles Experience, sponsored by the Colony Grill

Aug. 27, Vinnie Carr

In the event of inclement weather, call 203-256-3144 to find out if a concert has been cancelled.
