Adam Demetro, 18, of Castle Avenue, faces charges after he punched and kicked his live-in girlfriend Monday, police said.
Demetro was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault, and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
According to police, a verbal argument between the two turned physical, with Demetro pushing, punching and kicking the girlfriend. He injured her foot during the incident and damaged a vacuum cleaner, pushed over a lamp and punched a television cabinet, according to the report.
When the girlfriend called 911, police said Demetro threatened to kill her.
He was released on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
