Melissa D. Barney, 18, of Everett Road, Easton, charged two weeks ago for disturbance at her boyfriend's Melville Avenue home that damaged a chandelier, was arrested again last week, this time for violating a protective order.

Barney had sent text messages to her boyfriend, in violation of the order which prohibits any contact, according to the report. The boyfriend, who then alerted police, admitted that he had tried to get in touch with Barney after reading social-media postings.

Barney was picked up last Thursday by Easton police and turned over to Fairfield. She was held on a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared in Bridgeport Superior Court on Friday.
