A 16-year-old Fairfield boy was arrested on a drug charge Saturday night after police checked a suspicious car in the lower parking lot at Tunxis Hill Park.

The teen, whose name was not released by police because he is considered a juvenile under state law, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear Jan. 3 in Bridgeport Superior Court.

Officers said they found a glass smoking pipe, a jar filled with rolling papers, two grinders and packaging papers in the car about 8:41 p.m. Three other boys in the car were turned over to their parents' custody, police said.
