Police said Gorsuch was driving a car onto the campus when approached by campus security at the main check point. The security staff said they could smell burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle, and asked if there was any contraband in the car. Three bags of marijuana, a pipe, scales, a grinder and rolling papers were turned over, according to the report, and town police were called.
There was also whiskey in a glass bottle and a beer in the cup holder of the car.
Gorsuch was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear Feb. 25 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
