Thefts from vehicles reported

Police received several reports Monday of thefts from motor vehicles.
A James Street resident said $1,000 worth of Christmas presents was stolen from her car parked overnight in her driveway. She told police she thought she locked the car, but there were no signs of forced entry.
An unlocked car parked in a Villa Avenue driveway was entered and a $200 GPS unit was taken, according to the owner.
The owner of Bailey Tree Service, 1 Lacey Place, reported that chainsaws and a hedge trimmer valued at $6,500 were taken from the bed of a truck parked at the business.
