Say goodbye to dreary weather earlier this week and enjoy this fine fall weekend in Fairfield:

Listen to a new twist on the music of Duke Ellington on Friday at Fairfield University's Quick Center, 1073 North Benson Road with "New Duke" at 7 and 9 p.m. The group plays Ellington's music arranged by Brian Torff. For tickets, call 203-254-4010 or visit fairfield.edu/events

Support the arts Saturday by visiting the Pequot Library's 15th annual Art Show Weekend. The library is located at 720 Pequot Ave. and hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information visit www.pequotlibrary.org or call 203-259-0346.

Spend time Saturday at a classic fall festival at Town Hall Green from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Harvest Festival, sponsored by the Great Beginnings Montessori School, features music, games, crafts, a baked goods sale, vendors and a photographer for family portraits. Partake in "Fishhead Stew" Saturday night at the Fairfield Theatre Co., 70 Sanford St. The band features members of the Radiators and tickets are $45 for members and $50 for non-members. Visit www.fairfieldtheatre.org or call the box office at 203-259-1036.

Dine out Sunday at one of more than 30 restaurants participating in the first town-sponsored Fairfield Restaurant Week, which runs through Saturday, Oct. 20. Participating restaurants will feature prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus. Be sure to get your passport and get it stamped every time you dine out to be eligible to win raffle prizes.
