There's still time to squeeze in some fun before the holiday shopping season begins in earnest. Here are some suggestions for the weekend in Fairfield:

It will be a totally awesome Friday when you attend a performance of "The Awesome '80s Prom" at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center, 5151 Park Ave. Showtime is 8 p.m. and admission is $22; $15 for seniors. Call 203-371-7908 or visit www.edgertoncenter.org for information and tickets.

Haven't had enough of the presidential election? Stop by the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, on Saturday and check out the election campaign display featuring autographs of Presidents James Polk, Dwight Eisenhower and Lyndon Johnson, as well as campaign buttons and books. Make Saturday night special with the Special Night of Classic Rock Music to Benefit Pancreatic Cancer at Fairfield University's Quick Center, 1073 North Benson Road. The event, which benefits the Lebo-DeSanctis Center for Liver & Pancreatic Disease, starts at 6 p.m. Admission is $50-$100. Visit ANightofMusic.com for information.
