We've given up trying to predict what Mother Nature might do this weekend, but we haven't given up on finding something fun to do in Fairfield. Here's a list of some suggestions:
Feel the music and the movement when the hip-hop dance company Rennie Harris Puremovement hits the state at 8 p.m. Friday at Fairfield University's Quick Center, 1073 North Benson Road. Tickets are $40, $30 and $20. Call 203-254-4010 or visit quickcenter.com
Helping feathered friends eat like a bird is particularly appropriate during National Bird-Feeding Month -- which happens to be this month. To help, the Connecticut Audubon Society, 2325 Burr St., is offering birdseed at a 20 percent discount. The Nature Store is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information visit ctaudubon.org
Put some joy in your life when the group, Pimps of Joytime, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fairfield Theatre Co., 70 Sanford St. Tickets are $22. For tickets or information visit www.fairfieldtheatre.org or call 203-259-1036.
Be nice to you wallet and take advantage of the free Elements Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center, 5151 Park Ave. Find more information at www.edgertoncenter.org or by calling 203-371-7908.
You're invited to "Purim at the Stadium" at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Chabad of Fairfield, 1571 Stratfield Road. Features include a buffet dinner, a halftime show and professional mascots. Participants are encouraged to come in costume and bring their own thundersticks and rally towels. Admission is $12 for children and $18 for adults. Register online at www.ChabadFF.com/purimfeast or by calling 203-373-1118.
