Just because you lose an hour of sleep this weekend when clocks "spring" ahead Sunday, it doesn't mean time is lost to having some fun. Take advantage of the promised spring-like weather (and try to forget Friday's snow) with these things to do in Fairfield:

Missed New York City's Fashion Week? Don't fret, head over to local designer Jennifer Butler's spring collection show Friday at the Delamar Hotel, 275 Old Post Road. The evening begins with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 7 to 8 p.m. Tickets for the show, which benefits the Fairfield Public Library, are $70 and can be purchased at Butler's shop at 1326 Post Road, by calling 203-256-5768 or emailing jen@jenniferbutler.com. Call 203-256-3160 or visit fairfieldpubliclibrary.org for more information.

Some days are for the birds. Take Saturday, for example, when you can learn "Birding for Beginners" with Dick Worth from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Connecticut Audubon Society, 2325 Burr St. The class is free, but donations are appreciated. To register, call 203-259-6315, ext. 109.

"Wonder," the book chosen by the Fairfield Public Library for the "One Book, One Town" community reading project, comes to life Saturday at the annual Reader's Theater at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road. The performance starts at 3 p.m. Registration is required. Call 203-256-3160 or visit fairfieldpubliclibrary.org

Have you worked up an appetite? Then take advantaged of the all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Saturday from 4:45 to 7 p.m. at Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church, 1089 Fairfield Woods Road. The buffet includes three different sauces for the pasta, salad, bread, desserts and beverages. The lucky 100th diner get their meal for free. The cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children under 12. For more information, call 203-374-6528 or visit www.fairfieldgrace.org

You'll be in danger of having a good time Saturday night if you go to see Dangermuffin in concert at the Fairfield Theatre Co., 70 Sanford Street. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $17. For tickets or information visit www.fairfieldtheatre.org or call 203-259-1036.
