Kick up your heels for pre-St. Patrick's Day fun with Irish step dancing Saturday at the Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave. The free event starts at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call 203-259-0346, ext. 18, or visit www.pequotlibrary.org

When you're done with dancing, head over to the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, to hear The Kerry Boys at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. There's no charge for admission to hear the Irish balladeers. Visit www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3161.

Get a leg up on the holiday at the 19th annual St. Patrick's Day Classic Fun Run at Jennings Beach on Sunday.
