Three out-of-town women where charged with shoplifting on the same day last week at Kohl's department store, 290 Tunxis Hill Road.

A Bridgeport woman was charged with sixth-degree larceny Dec. 20 after she allegedly tried to leave the store with $364 worth of merchandise without paying.

Store security officers told police that they could hear Jacqueline Hernandez, 37, pulling the tags of clothing while in a dressing room. She was stopped when she tried to the leave the store, police said.

Hernandez, of East Main Street, Bridgeport , was released on a promise to appear Jan. 4 in Bridgeport Superior Court.

In the other incident, Dana Fellows, 23, and Erica Kent, 31, were charged the same day with sixth-degree shoplifting after they allegedly left the store with unpaid merchandise, police said.

Fellows, who lives on Honeyspot Road, Stratford, had $107 worth of merchandise, and Kent, of Happy Hollow Circle, Stratford, had $142 worth of stolen goods, police said.

Both were released on a promise to appear Jan. 4 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
