Toddler bitten by neighbor's dog

A 2-year-old boy was bitten Saturday by a neighbor's dog on Pine Creek Avenue.

According to police, the toddler was playing with the canine, a Jack Russell Terrier, when it knocked him over and bit him on the face, causing two minor cuts. The child was taken to the hospital to be treated.

The dog has been quarantined in the owner's house for two weeks by animal control officers to verify that its license and vaccination information is up to date.
