Tomlinson student suspended over knife incident

Police received a call Wednesday from the dean at Tomlinson Middle School regarding a 12-year-old student who was believed to have waved a knife on a school bus earlier in the morning.

The dean said several students reported the knife incident, and the suspected student's locker was searched.

The student denied the allegations, but inside his locker a knife with a three-inch blade was found, police said.

The knife was turned over to police and the student was suspended, according to the report.
