The annual "Touch of Crafts" fair attracted buyers and browsers Saturday to Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield.

The event, sponsored by the Delta Zeta Fairfield County Alumnae chapter, showcased craftspeople offering a variety of handmade items, including jewelry, birdhouses, quilts and soap.

Proceeds are to be allocated to several of the group's charities, including the Center for Women and Families, the American School for the Deaf, S.T.A.R., Gallaudet University and Tisdale School's hearing-impaired students.
