Town offers to transport Fairfield Beach residents to visit homes today

Residents of Fairfield Beach Road, west of Reef Road, who have not been able to return to their homes since Hurricane Sandy unleashed her wrath on the shoreline neighborhood earlier in the week, will have a chance today to visit the site under official escort.

Officials announced this morning that residents of the hard-hit west end of Fairfield Beach Road can meet from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sherman Green, corner of Post and Reef roads, to be transported to their homes in a military vehicle.
