A public information session on beach area rebuilding in the wake of Superstorm Sandy will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road.

Representatives from Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration, as well as town Building Official James Gilleran, Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart and zoning staff will be on hand to give a brief overview of their roles, as well as answer questions, about procedures governing storm reconstruction.

The panel will discuss house elevations, FEMA compliance standards, height restrictions, flood insurance, the financing and permitting processes, and higher costs linked to compliance with new guidelines.

People are encouraged to submit questions in advance by emailing Jennifer Carpenter at jcarpenter@town.fairfield.ct.us by 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

For more information about the session, call 203-256-3030.
