Trio of teen girls charged in Fairfield shoplifting

Three teenage girls from Fairfield were arrested for allegedly shoplifting clothes from Bob's Stores, 889 Post Road, Monday.
According to the police report, employees saw the girls take clothing into a dressing room. While in the dressing room, one of the three girls came out to get more clothes, which she then brought to the dressing room. They appeared to leave the dressing room with fewer items than they brought in, and were stopped by store security. They were found with stolen merchandise hidden on their persons, police said.
A 14-year-old and 13-year-old were both charged with sixth-degree larceny, while another 14-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny. All three were turned over to their mothers and were given a juvenile court date of May 23.
