Police have released the photo of a man believed to have stolen $1,700 worth of high-end shampoo from two CVS pharmacies in Fairfield last weekend.

An employee of the CVS at 698 Post Road reported Friday that nine bottles of shampoo, worth $100 each, were taken from a display near the front entrance. Later that day, a report from the CVS at 330 Grasmere Ave. indicated that a man left the store with more than $800 worth of shampoo without paying. He took the 35 bottles of shampoo in a backpack, according to the report.

In both cases, police said, the suspect was described as a dark-skinned white man, wearing a white t-shirt, dark shorts and a dark baseball cap. He had tattoos on his right forearm.

Anyone with information os asked to call police at 203-254-4840.
