FAIRFIELD — Police are investigating the theft of two cars from homes in the Southport section of town sometime overnight Sunday.

An Overhill Road resident called police Monday morning to report that her 2015 Buick Enclave, worth $40,000, was stolen from the driveway. She said she had last seen the vehicle about 5 p.m. Sunday. She could not remember if the car was locked, but told police she had both sets of keys.

Two other Overhill Road residents reported their unlocked cars were entered and rummaged through. Missing from one of the vehicles was an iPod, according to the reports.

A Willow Street resident also reported a car stolen Monday. According to the report, the 2015 Subaru Outback was unlocked, and the keys were inside the vehicle, valued at $33,000. Another car in the driveway, also unlocked, was entered and two sets of golf clubs worth $1,200 were taken, police said.
