Power in Fairfield has been completely restored in the wake of Saturday's nor'easter, United Illuminating reports early Thursday.

As of 5 a.m. Thursday, UI all 22,000-plus customers in Fairfield has electric service. In fact, throughout the entire UI service zone only 10 outages in Derby remained at that hour.

Thousands of Fairfielders, along with hundreds of thousands across the state, had lost power overnight Saturday in the immediate aftermath of the freak snow and wind storm.

Elsewhere -- even in neighboring Westport and Weston -- customers of Connecticut Light & Power are not expected to have service restored until sometime this weekend.
