The Fairfield Arts Center will hold an art exhibit by artist Nomi Silverman called "Nomi Silverman: Giving Voice" Friday, Dec. 2, through Jan. 6, 2012 in the center, 70 Sanford St.

The exhibit will challenge the viewer to confront their respective, oftentimes latent biases toward homosexuality and homelessness, according to a release from the center. Silverman uses her subject matter to express concerns about liberty, hope and fear while "sifting thoughtfully through the shadows of darker social issues," the release states.
