The Fairfield University radio station -- WVOF-FM 88.5 -- will broadcast Congregation B'nai Israel's Kol Nidre Yom Kippur service on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m.
The broadcast also may be heard online at www.wvof.org and will feature the chanting of the Kol Nidre prayer by B'nai Israel Cantor Sheri Blum, the Bridgeport synagogue said in a news release.
B'nai Israel President Mindy Siegel and Philip Eliasoph, a Fairfield University art history professor, will provide background commentary, the synagogue said.
Congregation B'nai Israel is a member of the Reform Judaism movement and serves more than 800 households in the Fairfield, Easton, Stratford, Trumbull, Monroe, Shelton and Bridgeport.
