Taking the plunge for a good cause, Letarte Swimwear threw open the doors of its world headquarters in Fairfield to select shoppers Friday evening, hosting a charity fundraiser and sneak peek to its week-long annual warehouse sale.

The exclusive shopping event supported the efforts of a team of local high school students calling themselves "06824 a Cure" in raising funds for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. Letarte earmarked 100 percent of the money raised during the shopping preview for the group's and its fundraising cause.

Guests enjoyed light snacks and wine as they browsed through the warehouse on Carter Henry Drive, getting the first pick of swim and sportswear without jostling large crowds.

The warehouse sale officially starts Saturday and runs through next Friday. The weekend hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The weekday sales hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Letarte Swimwear is at 160 Carter Henry Drive. For information, visit: www.letarteswimwear.com.
