Wind ensemble to perform at Roger Ludlowe

The Connecticut Symphonic Winds will present the last of four concerts celebrating its 25th anniversary season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Roger Ludlowe Middle School theater, 785 Unquowa Road.

There will be a preconcert recital by the Connecticut Woodwind Quintet at

7 p.m.

The program will feature wind music by contemporary composers and the premiere of the CSW Multimedia Project, featuring visual media presented during select performances.

The 74-member group, under the baton of Charles DePaul, is a public community wind ensemble providing advanced musicians an opportunity to perform for the general public. The band has made three Carnegie Hall appearances since 1990 and many of its members are music educators, according to a news release from the group.
