Woman charged with assaulting boyfriend at party

Tara Warren, 23, of Miro Street, is charged with assaulting her boyfriend during an argument at a party early Sunday morning.

Warren hit her boyfriend, Robert Smith, 20, of Kenwood Avenue, in the head during the party at a Grasmere Avenue home, police said. Warren was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Smith, meanwhile, was charged with disorderly conduct for shoving Warren, police said. Smith's face was red and puffy, according to police.

Both were released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
