A Bridgeport woman was arrested charged on a warrant Wednesday with second-degree hindering prosecution.

Yvette Gutierrez-Marta, 30, of Lexington Avenue, came to Fairfield police headquarters last November after several juveniles were charged with a series of car break-ins in the Black Rock Turnpike area. She went to headquarters, according to the report, to pick up one of the juveniles, indicating she was the youth's aunt. Police were later notified by a juvenile court investigator that the juvenile had given police a false name.

According to police, Gutierrez-Marta then told them that she wasn't the boy's aunt, just a family friend, and didn't know that the release form she signed used a false name. Police said she has a history of forgery, hindering prosecution and escape from custody.
