Kellyanne Patrignelli, 38, of Shea Avenue in Milford, stole over $6,500 over a two-year period from a friend who lives in Fairfield, police said.
Patrignelli was arrested Thursday at Bridgeport Superior Court on a warrant charging her with third-degree larceny.
The victim told police in June that he noticed cash missing from an envelope he kept in a desk drawer in his home office. He installed a security camera and allegedly caught Patrignelli going into the desk and taking cash. She also had apparently been making unauthorized charges to his credit cards.
Police said Patrignelli admitted to taking the money and promised to repay it by June 17. However, the check she was drawn on her mother's bank account and was fraudulent.
Patrignelli was held on a $5,000 bond and was arraigned Thursday.
