A Stamford woman was charged Monday on a Fairfield police warrant with stealing money from her parents' bank account.

Sandie Heholt-Leeds, 50, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, credit card theft, and receiving goods or services obtained by illegal use of a credit card. She was held on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear March 6 in Bridgeport Superior Court.

According to police, the arrest stems from 2010 when Heholt-Leeds' parents called Fairfield police to report unauthorized ATM withdrawals and a missing flat-screen television set. The parents said they were beginning to receive phone calls from creditors because of Heholt-Leeds.

Police were able to trace the withdrawals to the daughter because of surveillance photos from the ATM that was used.
