A Ronald Drive woman was arrested last Friday morning after she allegedly tried to steal beer from ShopRite, 1975 Black Rock Turnpike.
The supermarket manager told police that the previous day he noticed beer was missing from shelves, and reviewed the store’s security video.
In the video, a woman later identified by police as Melissa McMillan, 43, was allegedly seen taking beer and leaving the store without paying.
He said when McMillan returned Friday, he kept an eye on her and saw her allegedly put groceries and beer, totaling $57.14 into plastic bags, according to the report. She then attempted to leave without paying before being stopped.
Bond was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear Sept. 25 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
