Rosaline Gaffey, 33, of Grant Street, Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degree larceny Thursday night after police said she tried to leave Super Stop & Shop, 760 Villa Ave., without paying for $80 worth of gum.

She was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Aug. 14 in Bridgeport Superior Court. Gaffey was also charged with failure to appear on a warrant issued in New Britain.
